Hi, I’m Ruth Littlejohn

I am an African American woman , and a seasoned Diversity, Equity & Inclusion practitioner/trainer. I am able to leverage my 15 plus years of professional and personal experiences along with my education in listening and hearing in order to help clients clarify their vision, and design and implement impactful life changing strategies.

I believe to get extraordinary results I have to take risk and explore new ways of letting go of what no longer serves me.

I use a holistic approach to my life and work. I have developed this approach with insight and intuition. This approach supports you in responding, “I wanted to give up, but our work together has create a new relatedness for our team and a new focus in their personal lives.”

When I say holistic approach, I mean our work includes:

  • Learning new informations (mind)

  • Experiencing new tools and processes to change behavior (heart)

  • Utilize self-care processes for integrating and sustaining new ways of being (body)

My education, training, experience, and personal development fuel my unique and holistic approach to supporting organizations, communities, and individuals in leveraging their past to create and sustain new ways of being in the world.

I partner with Champion Fleming, a white transgender person, an organizational development consultant who works with national non-profits and labor unions. They are highly skilled and a compassionate white anti-racist facilitator and trainer.

Champion Fleming

Champion has and continues to embrace their whiteness and speaks candidly and with compassion to other whites to support them in embracing their whiteness without guilt and shame. We constantly debrief and explore our own biases, which enriches our relationship and the quality of our work.

  • A social justice advocate works on LGBTQIA issues, AIDS awareness, poverty, and racism

How we work

  • We facilitate small groups for 8 weeks, 2 hours each session. '

  • The white participants work with Champion for 6 of the 8 weeks

  • The People of Color work with me for 6 of the 8 weeks.

  • Week 7 & 8 Champion and I combine the sessions and facilitate a cross cultural conversation dialogue with questions and answers.

What to expect when working with us

 
  • We will reduce the tension in your workplace and community environment and foster cross-cultural conversations that support inclusivity and belongingness.

 
  • We will foster stronger cross-racial solidarity through raising individual self-awareness, enhancing communication through learned practices, and creating deeper connections in all relationships across race and within our racial identity group.

  • We will allow you to be grounded in the present and aligned with forward-moving action plans.
