Reaping the Solidarity Dividend Workshop

“There is enough for everyone. If you believe it, if you can see it, if you act from it, it will show up for you. That's the truth.”

- Michael Beckwith

Are you:

You’re invited to join our upcoming Magnificence Collective* Focus Ministry’s Premiere workshop.

Reaping the Solidarity Dividend
A six-week workshop that draws the connection between spirituality, racism, and prosperity consciousness and provides tools for casting a new vision and narrative for our mutual elevation and liberation.

Based on The Sum of Us by Heather McGhee

What Racism Costs Everyone and How We Can Prosper Together

In this class, we will access Heather McGhee’s book, by reading, YouTube, articles, videos, etc. The Sum of Us, which outlines what she has named the Solidarity Dividend. Our country was built on the belief that for one person to win, another must lose. In other words, there is not enough for everyone to live well; it is a zero-sum paradigm. She counters this narrative by analyzing our history and then describing the benefits we gain when people come together across races to accomplish what we simply cannot do on our own. She helps us arrive at a new vision for a future in which we finally realize that life can be more than a zero-sum game. We can in fact reap the solidarity dividend.

Objectives:

  • Uncovering the myth of the zero-sum paradigm

  • Identifying how we got here

  • Identifying where we go from here

  • Identifying how we get there

  •  Integration of spiritual principles and practices

  • Transforming our zero-sum narrative

  • Somatic practices - tend to stress and trauma
